Replace the office with a brand new and unique working environment that is creative, efficient and eco-friendly.
The new office environmental interior has been entirely built from disposable wood - wooden pallets.
The pallet structure; an open, autonomous landscape that gradually changes its character, facilitates all parts of the office: green, smart and economical.
Describe the brief from the client:
Design a temporary furnishment for an office space situated in one of Amsterdam’s characteristic canal houses with the explicit wish to furnish the space with an authentic, recycable material.
Description of how you arrived at the final design:
With this interior, we actually try to demonstrate the way we handle our projects. Maximum success with minimal means. We are always searching for smart, innovative and most of all creative solutions. In fact it’s amazing that this has never been done before, since pallets turn out to be ideal material for construction and stacking.
The pallet structure is designed in such a way that besides being merely a workplace, the entire element invites you to stand, sit or lay down on the pallets. This open office concept was created to suit the creative advertising agency, with an additional, informal atmosphere.
Indication of how successful the outcome was in the market:
From the very start of the project, the design development as well as its execution had followers from all over the world through the project’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/brandbase).
It allowed people to respond to what we were doing. The innovative design resulted in large amounts of online and printed media attention worldwide. Eventually the new office design gave the company a fresh creative working atmosphere, and delivered the BrandBase team a lot of happy faces.
The Pallet Project is mentioned in several national and international blogs and magazines, including:
Dezeen Design Magazine,
Trends Now Magazine.
The Design & Branding titled THE PALLET PROJECT was done by Brandbase advertising agency for product: Conceptual Interior Design (brand: Brandbase) in Netherlands. It was released in the Jun 2011.
